FORSAKEN HARBOR

“Kreitzer’s books are truly a joy to read. Forsaken Harbor holds the same amount of mystery, suspense, romance, and action as the first book in the series did. The characters have continued to grow and the world in which the story takes place is brilliantly well written and rich in imagery.” - What the Cat Read

“[. . .] this second book in the Summer Chronicles really impressed me. I was hoping for a lot from Laura Kreitzer this time around, and I’m happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed.” – Hopelessly Devoted Bibliophile

“If you’re looking for a fairly fast-paced novel with a main character that accomplishes a lifetime’s worth of personal growth, then Forsaken Harbor is for you.” – Simply Infatuated

“The adventures that take place in Forsaken Harbor have you holding your breath and screaming at the book. [. . .] Another round of applause and 5 bright shinning starts for Laura Kreitzer’s Summer Chronicles, Book 2, Forsaken Harbor.” – Clu’s Reviews

PHANTOM UNIVERSE AUDIOBOOK

“Filled with emotionally charged scenes, wonderful characters, and rich descriptions, Phantom Universe is a great addition to the growing dystopian genre!” – What the Cat Read

“There was good detail paid to variation in accent between characters, and lit between female and male.  Jaden and Landon stood out as the strongest presentation of this, with attention paid to emphasizing emotion, inquiry, and range in their dialogue.  In moments like these, Savage is able to shine.” – The Geeky Chic

“I was captivated by Karen’s narration, she has the perfect tone and emphasis, pausing and picking up the pace to give the experience of being with the characters.” – Clu’s Review

“I truly enjoyed this story from the very beginning. The world Laura created is one that focuses on certain real aspects and adds an amazing rawness to her writing. Listening to it on audio brought everything to life for me in a way that reading it didn’t.” – A Trail of Books Left Behind

“Due to the great reading voice, the book offers solid entertainment, really looking forward to the sequel” – Miss Bookiverse

PHANTOM UNIVERSE

“The story was so original and breathtaking from the first page on. The story blends genres in a way I haven’t seen before, and it was great to see an author be able to create a world that took me in from page one and didn’t let me go until I was finished with the book. [. . .] The writing was scarily good.” – Electrifying Reviews

“This book touches on some very tough subjects which Laura wrote in an emotional and touching way which definitely made me feel for Summer.” – Books for Company

“I loved both the plot and Laura’s writing style. She presented the events by gradually revealing details that gave enough suspense and curiosity to eagerly proceed with the reading.” – The Slinky Mink Book Lover

“I’m glad that Laura Kreitzer tackled the way that young slaves are treated in the slave trade, that exists even now.” – Hopelessly Devoted Bibliophile

“I admired Summer’s strength and ability to adapt to every situation that she was put in. I found myself looking at my daughter and wondering if she would have the strength to endure all that Summer went through. I am not sure that I would have the strength to endure what Summer went through.” - CiCi’s Theories

“I’m giving Phantom Universe a 5 star rating because Laura truly brought Summer’s world to life with her very descriptive writing and, quite literally, page-turning adventure.” – Cesya Cuono, Author of Elemental Reality

“This is truly a unique, original, and emotional novel.” – YA Bound

“Laura Kreitzerblows me away with her imagination with writing which is deep and rich, her characters multi-faceted.” – Fire and Ice

“Laura Kreitzer’s words and descriptions are amazingly vivid, keeping me glued to the page in a feverous attempt to learn more. You could almost smell the brine, hear the creaking of the ship, feel the tension … until you realize it’s a sci fi story and suddenly you’re inside the world of secret societies and a reoccupied United States now taken over by Canada.” – Jennifer Muriga, Author of Angel Star

“I love Laura Kreitzer’s passionate and evocative writing style, her creativity and her exceptional ability to draw very real, interesting characters.” – Tahlia Newland, author of Lethal Inheritance

“I found myself emotionally wrapped up in the characters, especially Summer. I even cried at the end of the book. Summer’s story is so compelling. I just wanted to hold her tight and keep her safe.” – PonyTails Book Reviews

“I love this book so much that words cannot explain how much I love it. AHH! I have been recommending this to like EVERYONE I know. I might even use it for a book talk in my English class because it’s THAT amazing.” – The Guide to Good Books

“Summer is an exceedingly interesting character. The fact that she doesn’t speak throughout the book makes her even more intriguing. It goes to show how abuse can really alter a person.” – A Chick Who Reads

“Phantom Universe is a twist turner, emotion flicker for me [...]” – The Paranormal World and Reviews

“Summer is a very likeable character, as is the entire supporting cast.” – Crazy Crafter & Cat Lady

“I love the universe in Phantom Universe and Kreitzer does a great job in world-building.” – I Eat Words

“I was really drawn into this story and this strange world, and am looking forward to learning more about it, and seeing where Summer and her friends wind up.” – Christi the Teen Librarian

“This book is a pleasant mix of sci-fi, romance and time travel to a dystopian society.” – Truly Bookish

“I enjoyed Phantom Universe very much, but wow is there a lot to absorb.  This poor girl is kidnapped, beaten, forced into slavery, finds out she’s being hunted by people she’s never even heard of, finds herself 200 years into the future without a clue of how with all sorts of new technology and facts to learn, finds out she’s now an Outlander (someone from the past who showed up in the future and are now considered the enemy and quarantined in a prison of sorts), finds an unlikely group of friends who do whatever it takes to protect her, all the while on the run from a society who is hunting her down to kill her.  And yet, there’s MORE, so much more.” – Literary Escapism

I loved both the plot and Laura’s writing style. She presented the events by gradually revealing details that gave enough suspense and curiosity to eagerly proceed with the reading. I can honestly say that I took my time to read it because I wished to savor each moment of this amazing world.

I really loved the way the book ended: it was unexpected and it left open new possibilities for the following installments which I am looking forward to read.

I was not a particular fan of sci-fi/dystopian stories but this one was really worth reading and it enticed me so much that gave me an appreciation for this kind of novels.
