Novella Release, Contest Info, & RT Love
I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted. Yes, yes. I am a big fat failure. Honestly, I have excuses, but it would be silly to list them. Right? Don’t you just want me to get down to the goodies? Yeah, that’s what I thought!
First: Keepers: A Timeless Novella was released in ebook format by Revolution Publishing Inc. to all the major ebook retailers. For those of you new to this novella, it’s a short little side story about Special Agent Joseph Carter and his interactions with Jenna and the ex-girlfriend. There are some comedic, endearing, and serious topics covered, but I kept it rather light. You don’t have to read Keepers, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the Timeless Series and is salivating for Fallen Legion.
Second: I did NOT forget about the huge contest and giveaway I posted about in March. At first I was going to have the contest go from March-April 15th, but figuring out the numbers for only half the month will be a pain in my behind. This is good news for those who signed up because I am extending the timeframe to cover all of April. Whoo hoo! (The contest application is now officially closed.) At the moment, however, I’m actually waiting for Amazon and Barnes and Noble’s numbers for the month of April. This can sometimes take a few weeks to a month. I’m hoping to have numbers by the 15th of May so I can start announcing winners. I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally end this contest and how thrilled I am with the support and word-spreading. My fans (and the friends of my fans) are the bestest (Shhh, it is too a word)!
Third: I attended the RT Book Lovers Convention in Chicago mid-April. This was my first year, and WOW, I was totally blown away. The people, the parties, the networking! I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful it was to be apart of RT this year. I’ve made friends I will cherish forever, contacts that I would have had to show boobies before to get (I’m joking. Maybe.), and I walked away with so many memories and prizes that I can barely contain my glee over it. Meeting Charlaine Harris, J.R. Ward, Richelle Mead, and so many other authors was just . . . beyond a dream. I totally geeked out the whole time, and I hope I didn’t scare anyone with my over-excitement or perma-grin I sported the entire time. I have to say a big THANK YOU to RT for putting on such an amazing event.
And one more side note about RT and those I met. I want to apologize to Rachel Vincent and Molly Harper for practically screaming in their faces when I first met them. Truly, I was so happy I couldn’t contain it. I swear it will never happen again. Maybe. Hopefully. Also, I wanted to thank Ann Aguirre for not letting that one fan punch me in the face for winning Outpost. Seriously. Oh, and I freakin’ adore you, Ann. Can we be BFFs? I sincerely thought you were my author soulmate. Too creepy? Sorry. Let me not forget Kieran Kramer who signed next to me at the Expo. She was one of the kindest, most welcoming of authors I met while at RT. And Nancy Holder for just being plain awesomesauce. I could seriously go on and on about the awesome authors and people at RT, so I just want to give one last shout-out to Jennifer Estep for being my awkward buddy during the Teen Day Party. Yeah. Really. It was INCREDIBLY awkward, but it was all okay because I had Jennifer to talk to. Shew! (I also think Jennifer and I are author soulmates. Yeah, yeah . . . I’m creepy. So what?)
Onward . . . march. Time to get back to writing. ::cracks whip:: (I attempted to type the noise my invisible whip made, but I don’t think it came across very well. So, for those of you reading this—still—go ahead and make the noise for me.)
