Soul Stalker Quote
Just a quick quote from my upcoming novel, Soul Stalker.
My mother was standing only yards away. I could reach her with a few small strides. She smiled at me sweetly, love pouring from her eyes, only to be devoured by fire. Seeing her like this was a twisted form of exquisite agony. I knew what was going to happen next. This was the scar that ran deep into my very being and haunted my dreams.
The world spun on its axis one last time before it stopped altogether—everything changed. Midnight dread swept across the flowing, tickling grass. The ebb and flow of horror riding the soft wind.
I was in that nebulous field again . . . with the fire and the flames and the smoke . . . and a body on the ground, the moon lighting her up like the perished Angel she was.
Wow! That was intense. Enjoy and share the love.
Editing Will Resume
As with all things in life, even when death occurs things must go on. My very dear friend, Christopher Emberton, took his life two weeks ago and I haven’t been the same since. In this second book, you’ll see the kind of love Gabriella has for her family and it was solely based on Chris. He was unlike any other and will forever be in my heart. I find this time in my life difficult, but I know he’d want me to finish. He asked me every day how my writing was going and even cried over the phone when I read him some parts I wrote with him specifically in mind.
I don’t pray, but if you do please pray that he is in paradise and happy again. I can only hope. After a short 2 week break from all things in life, it seems, Soul Stalker editing will resume this weekend. I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and prayers. It was a difficult week, and my friends helped pull me through with laughter and love this past weekend. I figured I’d give myself a little bit of a break and start full-on editing this weekend.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement you have given me. You’ll never know how much you, my fans, have affected me. But I plan to show it in my writing.
Laura
